Connectivity

Connectivity, and leveraging both established connections and new HS2 investment, is critical to the regeneration of Arden Cross and the delivery of the vision. Connectivity will ensure the location is an attractive place to live and invest, with global businesses attracted to national and international links.

Established connections and new investment

Arden Cross is already highly connected. Access to the West Coast Main Line at Birmingham International provides a well-established 70-minute connection to London Euston, and a 9-minute connection to Birmingham New Street as well as links to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, Birmingham, and Bristol.

Benefitting from investment in the UK’s high-speed rail network, the new HS2 Interchange Station will sit at the heart of Arden Cross. Once complete there will be a direct connection to central London in 38 minutes, and additional connectivity to the north of England.

Global connectivity

Birmingham Airport, connected to Birmingham International Station, Arden Cross, and the NEC via automated people mover, provides global connectivity across Europe, the Middle East, and America.

The heart of an innovation network

Leveraging the Innovation District and HealthTech Campus, Arden Cross will be at the centre of an Innovation Network which already exists.

Connectivity will be enhanced by HS2 which will link Birmingham, Arden Cross, Old Oak Common – the new ‘super hub’ station being delivered in London – and onwards to Central London and Euston. Established northern connections with Manchester and Leeds, and locally to the East Midlands, will complete the network.

Established Life Sciences and HealthTech clusters, built around innovation-led universities and NHS trusts, will be connected through an existing network. Arden Cross will be at the centre of the network.
